Angelika, Course 2 of 2009,
has raised £400 for the LCT by organising
an non-uniform day at her
school in Scarborough and also selling sweets etc at lunchtimes...Great
Stuff Angelika!
Daniel Beech (2009 Course 2) has been the first this year to raise money
for
the
Laura Crane Trust. He has raised an amazing £257.57 for doing a
sponsored bike ride from Huddersfield to York and back in 3 days!!! WELL
DONE Daniel!

Rattling and Tuck Shop on
RYLA
raised the incredible figure of over £222 for the
LCT....well
done Steph for the
Tuck Shop and all those who cam on the last night and dropped
awardees

Abbi Matthews...Course 1

Marathon....she's now at the University of Bath...and is planning

donated £10 raffle takings to the Trust following Emilie's RYLA
presentation at their Club.
January 2008 Brighouse Rotary
Club handed a cheque over to Tim for the LCT for £500, raised on various
events over the last 6 months.

Sarah Barker from RYLA course 1 2008 wrote saying: "Just thought you
might like to know, we held a charity stay awake in our 6th form
around October half term. 8pm till 8am (and most people had been up all
day anyway) and we raised £450 for Laura Crane. We're hoping to have
more events (and possibly another stay awake if people can manage it!)

The collecting tin that was
passing around on the RYLA Courses was eventually full and when counted
came to an amazing £191.91. Thanks everyone who put anything in it! Tim.
Becky Mason, Course 1 2008,
has managed to raise an amazing £443
for the Trust by feeding 30
friends and relations at a 'Post Harvest Supper'. Well Done
Becky....that's a great result!

told us that at their presentation to the Wakefield Clubs
they
held a raffle which raised £200 for the Trust. Great Stuff!!

Chris Tolley, Course 1/2006, has sent
another £120 collected from the
sponsored walk he did, bringing the total he has raised from his efforts
to £400. Well Done Chris!
On The 28th August, 7 ryalarians
will be jumping out of a plane, 13,000
feet up, with nothing but a parachute and a Red Devil attached to them!
The
7 people crazy enough to do this are Chris H, Rachel S, Jonny B, Jo
W, Caitlin R, Annie T, (all Course 2 2006)
and Bex W (RYLA course directors
assisstant). The event will take place on Langar Airfield in Nottingham
and any support will be welcome. // You yourself can also take place by

the best DJs in the area. It's at the end of April and it should be a really

square/treasure map at her local pool for members of her swim club. Thanks

Judith Poole
(Mentor, Course 2/2006), along with the Inner Wheel Club of
Brighouse, have raised £1000 through several events for the Trust and delivered
them a cheque. All as a result of Judith's involvement with RYLA. Well Done
Judith and all the others in Inner Wheel!

Belshaw, Course 2/2006, has said..."Just thought I would say quickly I
am planning
to do the three peaks in the Yorkshire Dales
(37.5km over three
small mountains) in May and u have to do it in
less than 12 hours
( found out today)" (Glad to see you are over the leg operation James)
Tony Jordan
(Mentor, Course 2/2006) has sent £250 raised by the Rotary Club
of Thirsk by them saving money on not sending out as many Christmas cards this
year. Thanks Tony and all at Thirsk.

Tucker, Course 1/2006, ran the 3 Yorkshire Peaks in just over 6 hours
in very wet, muddy and foggy rivery
conditions and raised £800 for the Trust in the process. Nice one Patrick!!

Night where over 100 people came - with

Belshaw's (Course 2/2006) plans to do the 3
Yorkshire
Peaks in 24
hours have been 'scuppered
a bit' as he has to have an operation on his leg! But he still plans to do them
in Easter to raise money for the
Trust. Good Luck James with both
the op and the event!

of a sponsored walk between Bolton Abbey &
Grassington that he did with others in Brighouse High 6th Form (The same
