Welcome To Royston Vasey - You
Will Never Leave!
|
RYLA have been using the
venue for several years for it's courses. Owned by Halifax Scouts, we
take it over completely for two weeks every year. Situated in the
Hardcastle Crags valley above Hebden Bridge between, Halifax and
Todmorden, it offers the ideal location to operate from, exercises being
conducted on site, in the nearby area, and some further afield in Hebden
Bridge.

The nearby
village, named 'Midgehole',
gives a clue to one of the drawbacks of the venue. Bring insect
repellant and expect to be wearing a daft looking midge-hood!! The
other drawback is the ghost of
Tom
Bell, one of two hostels we use is even named after him..
