This years conference was my first and I had little idea of what to expect but it certainly wont be my last due to the great time I had.

I spent most of Saturday promoting RYLA, including our presentation on the main stage. It was a nerve wracking but amazing experience which will stay with me for a long time to come.

The remainder of the weekend involved answering various RYLA associated questions, shoving leaflets in Rotarians hands whilst manning the RYLA stand in the House of Friendship.

The evenings were definitely the highlight of the weekend with fancy dress on Friday followed by the Black Tie ball on Saturday. Both evenings were a good laugh and involved large amounts of drinking and dancing followed by little amounts of sleep!!

The social side was definitely a bonus and, like the RYLA course I met loads of fab people who made my weekend lots of fun.

Hope this can persuade future awardees to promote RYLA at the conference as I would really recommend to anyone, given the chance, to go!! I thoroughly enjoyed myself and will certainly be making an appearance at future conferences.
