Forms for Clubs to register on the Summer 2010
Courses went out in the October District Mailing. The 1st December is
the closing date for Clubs to Register.
Thank you to all the Rotary Clubs who have
booked to take part!
Dates For 2010

25th July 2010 to Friday 30th July 2010 & Sunday
1st August 2010 to Friday 6th August 2010
*Awardees must be 16 years of age on 25th July
2010 and not attained 18 years
of age on 6th August 2010*
Booking forms for Clubs wishing to participate
were in the District 1040 Mailing in October 2009 -
Since 2006, following on from RYLA,
all Awardees were tasked with using the skills they have learnt and raising the
equivalent cost of their Course fees, already paid by their sponsoring Rotary
Clubs, and to donate it to the 'Laura Crane Trust'

Fancy Being A Rotarian Mentor On The Course?
On each course the Awardees work in four groups
of 8. Each
group has a Rotarian Mentor shadowing them for the week, assisting in
their development, providing feedback and generally getting wet and
shattered with them! It's one of the most rewarding roles you will
ever find in Rotary! Fancy it? Then email us or talk to any of the
current Rotarian Mentors or RYLA Committee.
Remember
Please -
The Sponsoring Rotary Club are responsible for transporting their
Awardees to and from the RYLA Course. Letting parents drive them
there or pick them up deprives you the opportunity of seeing them
beforehand and afterwards and creating that relationship that they need
from their sponsors. So....Have A Nice Trip! (Don't worry, the Awardees
will know the way!! but just in case, click

all about?.... Then come on one of our two open-days on the first day of
each course.
